Spreadsheet Revolution: Karma Platform to Demo at Dublin Web Summit
25th October 2013. London, UK – It is the end of the Spreadsheet Era. Karma Platform, a Hungary-based start-up that enables customers to instantly transform existing spreadsheets into robust business applications, has been selected as one of the “greatest early stage start-ups from all corners of the globe” – and named into the APLHA stream at the Dublin Web Summit next week.
Anton Kovach, founder and CEO of Karma Platform, said, “We were very excited to be named an APLHA at the Dublin Web Summit, especially as I gather that over 6000 businesses applied. We are going to be pitching on the main stage and we will be demoing our fantastic new product in the ALPHA exhibition space. It’s going to be a great opportunity to spread the word about Karma.”
Earlier this month, Karma launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign with two objectives: the first to capture industry opinion and feedback about expanding the existing enterprise offering to SMEs; and the second to accelerate Karma’s software development road map, including product expansion across mobile platforms and integration into popular web services such as Google Apps.
The Karma platform is a SaaS solution aimed at businesses that use spreadsheets to manage their day-to-day operations. Professionals are well aware of the limitations of spreadsheets: spreadsheets are difficult to share while changes are impossible to track or audit, making data quality an ever-present risk. Karma Platform overcomes these limitations by instantly transforming spreadsheets into robust business applications, managed centrally and available anywhere.
Kovach continued, “We encourage everyone to check out the campaign because Karma Platform really is the best of both worlds. They get the benefits of robust business administration tools such as change tracking, data validation and audit control all while working within a flexible and fit-for-purpose application format they already know well.”
October has provided significant visibility for the Budapest-based startup. After appearing at the prestigious Bloomberg Tradebook Grow Investor Forum (having joined as part of the original June 2013 intake), Karma Platform attended the Hungary Internet Expo.
